The Maryland Bulletin, a publication of the Maryland School for the Deaf, published two articles about NBDA:

  • NBDA’s financial contribution towards the final printing of the publication entitled Beginning of a Legacy: History of the Maryland School for the Colored Deaf: 1872-1956. The article also discusses two living former students of the Maryland School for the Colored Deaf: Ellsworth Bouyer (Class of ‟55) and Joanie Jackson (Class of ’50).
  • NBDA member Brian Lucas spoke with the high school students and faculty about “Passion and Core Values.” Brian discussed the establishment of the NBDA and its continued impact on the lives of Black Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals.
