New York City Black Deaf Advocates receives award
from NYC
On Wednesday, June 25, 2003, NYCBDA Vice-President,
Alaina Mitchell and Board chairperson, Patrice Joyner, and member
Chris Dudley attended the Manhattan Borough President's First Annual
History Recognition Day Awards Ceremony held at the New-York Historical
Society. Manhattan Borough President Virginia Fields presented the
New York City BLACK DEAF ADVOCATES Chapter 4 with the ‘UNDERREPORTED
COMMUNITIES HISTORY AWARD in recognition of its excellence in
promoting interest, appreciation, and study of New York's History
through extensive research of their community past.
