Youth Empowerment Summit (Y.E.S!)

photo: Y.E.S. summer camp participants and staff

Because of the absence of summer programs designed specifically for Black Deaf and Hard of Hearing youths, the NBDA established the Youth Empowerment Summit (Y.E.S.). Y.E.S. addresses the lack of summer camp opportunities for
Black Deaf and Hard of Hearing youths.

YES is designed as an one week intensive leadership training program for youths between the ages of 13 to 17. Your support will enable NBDA to provide travel and lodging for participants. This conference marks the 10 year anniversary of the Y.E.S program. For more information email Y.E.S! Co-Directors, Laurene Simms & Dorian Fletcher, at youth@nbda.org.
