Over its 35 years history, the NBDA National Conerence has become the premier gathering for Black Deaf and hard of hearing, Deaf people of color as well as Deaf community at large. The 5 days conference provide exhibitors the opportunity to share ideas, products and services to unique needs of the Black Deaf Community and Deaf community at large.
NBDA is pleased to offer exhibit opportunities for your company and business to display products and services open to public and registered conference attendees. We anticipate a diverse of 500 conference attendees and visitors who are Deaf, hard-of-hearing, hearing, educators, parents, activists, CODAs, youth, service providers, interpreters, allies and other interested individuals.
Our 29th national conference will be held at Oakland Marriott City Center (1001 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94607) in Oakland, California from Wednesday, July 31st, 2019 through Sunday, August 4th. We are expecting the exhibitors to come on Wednesday, July 31st 2019 to prepare and decorate the booth to get it set before the exhibit begins on Thursday, August 1st through Saturday, August 3rd. Please see the details below:
Our exhibit is located at the hallway on first floor of the hotel entrance near the registration booth. The “map” signage will be provided prior your arrival so you can easily follow it to find the exhibit space. Also, the tent card will be placed on your booth.
You should set up your booth on the either options: 1) Wednesday, July 31st from 11pm through 1am PST on Thursday, August 1st; or 2) 5am through 8am PST on Thursday, August 1st. The installation/set-up hours may be changed when time gets closer to the conference week which you will be notified.
You must be present at your booth during our event from Thursday through Saturday at the specific time below:
Thursday August 1, 2019 - 8am - 5pm
Friday August 2, 2019 - 8am - 5pm
Saturday August 3, 2019 - 8am - 12pm
Clean Up Hours
You must unsettle down and clear your booth right after the exhibit hours on Saturday, August 3rd from 12pm through 4pm.
What will we provide for your booth?
We will be able to provide one table with black tablecloth and two chairs. Please do not remove the tablecloth or chairs from your table.
On-Site Parking Information
Oakland Marriott City Center has a parking garage that costs $40 USD daily if you want to do self-parking and valet parking will be $45 USD daily. Self and valet parking includes in and out privileges for the overnight guests. However, please note that it will be $10 USD for late check out fee after 3pm for valet parking. Otherwise, if it does not fit your budget, feel free to park in the public parking nearby.
WiFi & Electricity
WiFI will be complimentary in the public space include the exhibit space. However, if you have marked for the electricity request on the exhibit registration form, the complimentary power cords and surge will be provided for your booth. Otherwise, you would responsible for the fees for WiFi if you are interested to have high speed to check email, browse the Web for 14.95 USD/day. Additionally, it will $17.95 USD/day if you want to have enhanced high speed to use video chat, download large files, stream video.
