Marcus Sylvester was born and raised in Houston,
Texas. I was born as a deaf baby to hearing
parents. Attended regional school with the deaf
program and mainstream classes from K-12. After
high school graduation, he attended NTID for
several years. Marcus was also a Gallaudet student
for a brief time. Marcus worked in the VRS industry
for more than 10 years. Currently, Marcus works at
a deaf institute school in Texas as Student
Development Coordinator for 5 years now.
I am looking forward to being a builder for the next
young rising generation of black deaf individuals!
